The Foundation is a registered charity with the Australian Charities and Not-for-Profits Commission and was established as a trust separate from the Panel for general fundraising and transacting of monies. The Panel does not handle monies.
The distinguishing feature of the Panel is that it is not confined to public education campaigns: it is in addition proactive with the legal armoury to intervene direct in the courts with counsel and solicitors to potentially stop or affect a threat to the welfare or lives of animals.
If you wish to help fund Bill Bruce’s visit to Australia (including additional, unforeseen costs), you can make a single donation to the Barristers Animal Welfare Panel Foundation here. In the unlikely event that there are any excess funds raised, they will remain in the account for application to BSL or general dog objects.
The Foundation is authorised to receive monies (including membership subscriptions) from residents in all States and Territories of Australia and overseas, with the exception of residents in Queensland.
