Tuffy was rescued from the pound by a couple who run an animal shelter. He required urgent veterinary attention including removal of teeth and an eye. He was later placed with a foster carer for a 2 week trial. Whilst there, Tuffy was attacked by a resident Great Dane. His injuries included a punctured lung and broken tooth.
As a result, the animal shelter requested Tuffy’s return. The foster carer refused. The Panel arranged legal representation, and an exchange of solicitors’ letters led to the return of Tuffy to his home with the couple at the animal shelter.
