Further to our post of 28 June 2015, at approximately midday on 25 August 2015, Diesel moved into his new home on an 80 acre farm. On the day of his rehoming he was last seen by a City of West Torrens Council officer happily sitting in the passenger seat of an old farm truck as his new owner drove off to get wood in another paddock.
The District Court Judge who presided over the appeal will shortly be provided with a sealed affidavit outlining the name and address of Diesel’s new owner and the details of that rehoming. Once this has occurred, it is anticipated that the record will reflect that Council has complied with the order made on 24 June 2015 that Diesel be rehomed.
The Panel expresses its gratitude to the City of West Torrens Council for the extensive advertising campaign it mounted in order to find Diesel a new home. The Panel also extends its thanks to Nick Linke of Fisher Jeffries Lawyers for his assistance to counsel, Chair, Joana Fuller.
